Lay Donald William

 

 

Born Launceston Tasmania to Thomas Alfred and Olive May Lay he was serving with 100 squadron when the plane he was in crashed on the 9th January 1943 Milne Bay, Papua and New Guinea.

Sgt Donald William Lay, a wireless air gunner in the RAAF, has been killed in action in New Guinea. Only son of Mr and Mrs T. Lay, of Launceston;' he was aged 20.
