DIED ON SERVICE

PTE J. N. LING

Only son of Mrs Violet Emma Ling, Hobart, whose death while serving overseas with the AIF has been officially notified. Pte Ling was in his 23rd year. He was educated at the Elizabeth St. School, and was employed by C. D. Haywood Pty. Ltd. until he enlisted early in 1941.

He was associated with the cricket club of the Tasmanian Institution for the Blind, Deaf,  and Dumb, and was a prominent playing member of the Macalburn Football Club.
