Marsh Gordon William

 

Born 26th Dec 1918 Launceston Tasmania  to Ernest James and Violet May Marsh, he enlisted in Hobart and was posted to the 2/12 Battalion. 

He was killed in action in New Guinea on the 21 Jan 1944

MARSH.-Killed in action January 21 1944. somewhere in New Guinea. L-Cpl Gordon William Marsh, loved and trusted friend of Janet and the late Garnet Graham, Ranelagh. Greater love hath no man than that he lay down his life for his friend.
