OBITUARY

STOKER J S. MARSHALL

The death occurred at a Thai prisoner of war camp on March 11 1944 of Stoker Jack S. Marshall, youngest son of Mr and Mrs. W. J. Marshall Strahan street Burnie. Born in Waratah in 1919, ho was educated at the Waratah State School and Technical School, Hobart.

 Stoker Marshal served his apprenticeship as an assayer at the EZ. Co., Rosebery. He transferred to Canbelego (N.SW.), later returning to Tasmania, where ho enlisted in the R.A.N in July, 1941. Stoker Marshall joined H.M.A.S. Perth in January 1942. He has been in various prison camps
