Advice was received yesterday that Sgt J. W. Martin, husband of Mrs J. W. Martin, 58 Alexander St., Sandy Bay, and eldest son of Mr and Mrs J. H. Martin, Upper Burnie, died of illness on June 1, 1943, while a prisoner of war in Siam.
