MAXWELL.-Died on Active Service, killed road accident, Middle East. October 7. 1941. Maxwell, Trevor Morris, second beloved son of Coral and Thomas Maxwell, and/brother of Cedric. A.I.F., Teddie. R.A.N., Mavis, Les. and Russell.

KILLED IN ACTION HOBART, Monday. - News has been received of the death in the Middle East of Pte Trevor Maxwell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Maxwell, of Bellerive. Members of the Maxwell family were for many years well-known residents of Yolla and Wilmot. Two brothers of the late Pte Maxwell are serving overseas-Cedric, with the A.I.F., and Edward, in the Navy.

Mr. Thomas Maxwell was an original member of the 3rd  Regiment, 1st A.I.F., and served with this unit in Gallipoli, Egypt and Palestine in 1914-18. Two brothers, Edward (10th Battalion) and William (12th Battalion) also kept up the family tradition in the First World War. They in turn are now represented overseas by their two sons.

Mr. Sid Maxwell, a brother of Messrs T. E. and W. Maxwell, is also serving in this war
