McCarron Leslie Robert

 

 

Born 9 June 1908 Gunn St Invermay Launceston to Alfred and Eleanor Ambrosine McCarron (nee Garrett) Pte McCarron was a Driver in Launceston before he enlisted in the 2/40 Australian Infantry Battalion. 

He was a POW at Tarso Thailand and contracted cholera from which he died. 

He is commemorated at the Kanburi War Cemetery
