HOBART MAN FOR U.K. CEREMONY

CANBERRA, Wed. - The Prime Minister (Mr. Menzies) announced  tonight that the personnel of the delegation which would represent Australia at the unveiling of the Ajr Force memorial at Runnymede (England,) By the Queen on October 17 would include two Tasmanians.

They were the Agent-General for Tasmania (Sir Eric von Bibra) and Mr. J. MoQuittty, of South Hobart.

The delegation will be led by the Australian High Coanmisioner in London (Sir Thomas White).

Mr. Menzies said Mr. McQuitty had three sons who served with the R.A.A.F., two of whom were killed.

The eldest, Bill (William Morrison) McQuitty volunteered when war broke out in 1939. He was drowned at sea nine months after' he left Australia when he was returning to base in a badly battered plane from a successful operation.

The other two sons, Robert John and David, joined the R.A.A.F. when they turned 18. Robert was killed during the invasion of Europe on June 24,1944. His plane was blown to bits while on a mine-layingoperation off Brest.  David, the' youngest son, was the only member of the family who completed his training in Australia. He served in the European zone and was stationed in England when his second brother was killed.
