Murphy John Howard Mrs J. H. Murphy, Melbourne, has been notified that her husband, Sgt Murphy, RAAF, has been presumed lost in air operations overseas on September 10 last Sgt Murphy before his enlistment was a member of the literary staff of "The Mercury." He was the youngest son of Mrs Murphy, East Kew (V), and the late Rev. G. B. Murphy. The Mercury 18 June 1943
