O'Brien Stanley George

Born at Collinsvale, the eldest son of William Henry O’Brien and Emily Annie (Millie) Nelson, Stanley George O’Brien enlisted with 3 of his brothers and on the 22nd February 1942 Stanley was killed in action in Timor whilst serving with the 2/40^th Battalion aged 21. He is buried at the Ambon War Cemetery in Eastern Indonesia.

He is also remembered with a headstone at the Collinsvale Methodist Church
