Page Maxwell St Clair

Born 27 April 1916 Alexandra Hospital Hobart to Ashley Morgan and Margaret Maggie Page (nee Devitt) 

He was a Lance Corporal with the 2/40^th Battalion when it was reported in The Mercury  27^th June 1942 that he had been taken as a prisoner of war in Timor.  It wasn’t until 2^nd Oct 1945 that it was reported he had died of illness.  He is commemorated in the Galala War Cemetery

PAGE.--TX4089 L-Cpl -Max Page 2/40th Battalion, died of wounds (date not stated), second eldest dearly beloved son of Mr and Mrs Ashley M. Page Harefield, Richmond, and beloved brother of Athol. Sam, and Peggy.
