Page Maxwell St Clair Born 27 April 1916 Alexandra Hospital Hobart to Ashley Morgan and Margaret Maggie Page (nee Devitt) He was a Lance Corporal with the 2/40th Battalion when it was reported in The Mercury 27th June 1942 that he had been taken as a prisoner of war in Timor. It wasn’t until 2nd Oct 1945 that it was reported he had died of illness. He is commemorated in the Galala War Cemetery PAGE.--TX4089 L-Cpl -Max Page 2/40th Battalion, died of wounds (date not stated), second eldest dearly beloved son of Mr and Mrs Ashley M. Page Harefield, Richmond, and beloved brother of Athol. Sam, and Peggy. The Mercury 2 Oct 1945
