World War 11 Casualties

If you could spare a few dollars to help with the running costs of this website would be very much appreciated.

Thank you from Gravesites of Tasmania.

Parsons Charles J. Silas

Born Scottsdale Tasmania to George Silas and Ada Margaret Parsons, Flt Sgt Parsons was an Agronomist with the Department of Agriculture when he enlisted in the RAAF.

Blenheim Z 7902 of 203 Squadron RAF took off on the 14th April 1942 from Bu Amud to carry out an operational recce over the Mediterranean.  The aircraft failed to return to base.

Following post war enquiries it was established that the aircraft had crashed into the sea and all three on board had lost their lives at sea.

Flt Sgt Parsons is commemorated on the Alamein Missing Memorial.
