Studio portrait of TX3578 Private (Pte) Maurice Raymond Poulton, 2/40th Battalion AIF. Pte Poulton, a farmer from Barrington, Tas, enlisted on 25 June 1940 and died of illness on 28 July 1943 as prisoner of war (POW) of the Japanese. He had been married to his wife Rita for less than a week before being called up for active
