Ramsay John Laurie

Mr and Mrs W. Ramsay, 48 Augusta Rd., New Town, have received official advice that their son, Bdr J. L, Ramsay, has been reported missing, believed dead, while a prisoner of war after July 1, 1942.

It was later determined that he was a prisoner of war on board the “Montevideo Maru” which was torpedoed and sunk by the American submarine “Sturgeon”
