Born 3 April 1917 Burnie Tasmania, enlisted Launceston Tasmania 17th Nov 1939 and was posted to the 2/12 Battalion 

He was Killed in Action Goodenough Island Papua and New Guinea on the 23 Oct 1942

The Mercury 5th Nov 1942

REARDON.-Killed in action In New Guinea October .23, 1942, Pte J. J. (Jack) Reardon, 2nd AIF, dearly loved friend of ;Mr and Mrs C. Báwn and family, Stanley St., Oatlands' aged 24 years. Requiescat in pace.
