Searle 59 Margaret St., Launceston, and brother of Joan (deceased), Vera, and Bennie (RAN, returned), aged 22 years 6 months; died whilst prisoner of war on June 24, 1944 result of the torpedoing of a Japanese transport near Nagasaki Requiescat in pace The Mercury 12 Nov 1945
