Shepherd Andrew Jacob

 

 

SHEPHERD. TX5094 Pte A.  J.(Jake) Shepherd, 2/40th Battalion, AIF, died of illness while prisoner of war in Siam,August 1, 1943. dearly loved husband of Nellie, devoted daddy of, Robert and Kevin  (Longford)', dearly beloved third son of Mr and: Mrs : Shepherd, Avoca, and loved brother of Roderick (Glenorchy),. Dorothy (Mrs Robertson, Moonah), Claude (Launceston); Doug. (Gravelly Beach), Keith (Glenorchy), Fanny (Mrs Redburn, Avoca),' Marv (Mrs  Rawnsley, Tunnel), and 'Hubert (Avoca).

He gave his life to save, us from all harm. All that is left for us to do is take the blow with calm. .
