SHERWELL, Private, Ronald James, TX14936. A.I.F. 2/5 Bn. Australian Infantry. 25th June 1945. Age 21 Son of William Joseph and Dorothy Grace Sherwell, of Launceston, Tasmania

Died Of Wounds

Mr and Mrs W. Sherwell, North St., Launceston, have been informed that their younger son, Pte Ronald. J. Sherwell, died of wounds on June 25. Before enlisting in February, 1942, Pte Sherwell was a member of the Salvation Army Band and after joining the Tasmanian Military Band served for 18 months in New Guinea. Pte Sherwell was aged 20.
