Stuart Henry Montgomery

 

Was the navigator on Lancaster NG 455 which was part of 467 squadron which took off from RAF Waddington on the night of 7th Feb 1945 to bomb the Dortmund Ems Canal at Ladbergen. 

Nothing was heard from the aircraft after it took off and it failed to return to base. 

Three members of the crew were killed on this mission

STUART - P.O. Henry Montgomery ("Monty") Stuart, lost his life in air operations over Germany on February 7, dearly beloved son of Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Stuart, and brother of Hector. Stanley, Tasmania,
