Summers Ray

Born 1921 Longford Tasmania to Leslie David and Daisy Winifred Summers (nee Holgate) he was a farm labourer at Cressy when he enlisted and was posted to the 2/6 Australian Infantry Battalion. 

He was killed in action in New Guinea on the 1^st August 1943 and buried in the Salamaua War Cemetery.
