The Mercury 20 Oct 1945

 Pte Leslie Arthur Taber, son of Mr and Mrs A. H. Taber, Bracknell; died of injuries at Balik Papan on Oct. 13, where he was serving with the 2/33rd Battalion. 

TABER.-Died of injuries accidentally received at Balik Papan on October 13, 1945, TX14721 Pte Leslie Arthur Taber, 2/33rd Battalion, dearly beloved third son of Mr and Mrs A. H. Taber, Bracknell, and loving.. brother of Dorrie (Mrs Pitham, Somerset), Charles (AIF. returned,-; Upper Burnie), Muriel  (Mrs R. Walker. Longford). Elvie(Mrs Gelston, Melbourne), Geoff. (AIF, discharged. Drouin, V), Edna (Mrs V. Heathcote, Launceston), I -Mervyn (Bulgabac), Albert (Drouin,V). Audrey, and Verlie, in his 21st year. His duty nobly done.
