The Mercury 1 Oct 1945 TAYLOR.-TX4624 Pte Alfred (Pop) Taylor, 2/40th Battalion, killed in action, beloved son of Mr Alfred Thomas and the late Mrs Taylor, 1 Thirza St., New Town, and loving brother of Irene (Mrs Cosgrove), Arthur (AIF), Bill (AIF),  Reita, Frank (AIF), Harry (prisoner of war), and Rex (AIF).
