Vaughan Mervyn Thomas

 

 

Warrant Officer Mervyn Thomas Vaughan was born 24th December 1918 at Waratah Tasmania to Harold and Leila Vaughan and at the time of his enlistment his occupation was given as mill hand.  

On the 14th February 1945 the plane in which Warrant Officer Vaughan was part of the crew made a belly landing with the flaps up due to engine failure about two miles north of Mildura but if came down at high speed killing Warrant Officer Vaughan.  

He was later buried in the Mildura Cemetery.
