AIRMAN'S DEATH PRESUMED

Sgt-Pilot Waters

The parents of Sgt-Pilot Ralph Ernest Waters, Mr and Mrs E. C. Waters, of Hobart, have been notified by the Air Ministry that the death of their son has been presumed.

Sgt-Pilot Waters was educated at the Hobart High School and the Friends' School. He was a member of the staff of the E. S. and A. Bank at Hobart and Franklin. A keen sport, Sgt-Pilot Waters played cricket with North Hobart, South Hobart, and Sandy Bay clubs, and was a prominent player in the Friends School Old Boys' Football Club. He was judge of the Hobart Greyhound Racing Club and was prominently associated with the Apex Club. He was engaged to Miss Mary Lyall of Launceston. His death is presumed to have occurred on April 10.
