Born 7th Aug 1909 Stowport Tasmania to William Langdon and Alice Mary Wescombe (nee McHugh) 

WESCOMBE.-TX3955 Pte. Ernest Wescombe, 2/40 Battalion, dearly loved second son of Mrs. and the late W. L. Wescombe, Camena, and loving brother of Nellie, Tom, Charlie, Les., and Alice (Mrs. J. Moles, Camena), Alfie (Dromedary), Elsie (Mrs. F. C. Bott, Adelaide), Gladys (Mrs. A. Bennett, Penguin), and Bill (Devonport). Died of illness, Timor, March 15, 1942. Aged 33 years. Ever remembered.
