World War 11 Casualties
Whishaw Peter Born Croyden England to Reginald Robert and Isobel Rhoda Whishaw, Lt Whishaw is described as a farmer and grazier when he enlisted in the RANVR. He was serving on the “Melbourne Star” under Captain J. B. Hall travelling from Liverpool to Australia when it was sunk about 500 miles south east of Bermuda by U-29 with the loss of 113 passengers and crew. There were only 4 survivors to this incident.
