Woodard Norman Francis
Born 13th Aug 1908 Stowport Tasmania to George William and Mary Alice Jane Woodard (nee Dellacca) He was a prisoner of war on board the “Rakuyo Maru” which sailed from Singapore on the 4th September 1944. She was sunk by the U.S. submarine “Sealion” with 1,159 prisoners being lost in this incident including Pte Woodard.
