Wright Charles Alan

 

Able Seaman (AB) Charles Alan Wright of Ulverstone aboard a docked ship. AB Wright enlisted in the RAN in 1934. He was killed in action on 20 November 1941, aged 23, when the ship on which he was serving, HMAS Sydney II, was sunk in the Indian Ocean by the German auxiliary cruiser Kormoran. AB Wright's brother, 408136 Leading Aircraftman Francis Colin Wright RAAF, 26 Elementary Flying Training School SRAF, was accidently killed in Rhodesia on 27 May 1941, aged 20.
