World War 11 Casualties
Wright Robert Wallis
Son of Arthur Wallace and Thelma Mary Wright. Was Wireless/Air Gunner on Halifax LV-954 which took off from RAF Lissett on the 18th April 1944 to bomb railway yards at Tergnier France. The aircraft crashed near Rosieres en Santerre (Somme). Five of the seven crew including Flt Sgt Wright were killed in the crash and were buried in the Meharicourt Communal Cemetery France.
