At the present time not a lot is known about Lydia Sanders and more research is to be done. She was born 15th October 1809 at Toddington, Bedfordshire to Thomas Sanders and Mary Fensham. She was convicted at the Summer Session for stealing/larceny of animals, offence recorded as sheep stealing and sentenced to death which was commuted to 7 years transportation.
